James E. Jordan

James Jordan helped commission the USS Pringle and served on her working in the engine room. His son James A. Jordan said He served on convoy duty in the Atlantic, transitioned the ditch (Panama Canal), and served in the Pacific. He was transferred to the USS Sierra (AD18), just before the first Kamikaze attack on Pringle.   The Sierra was the repair ship that patched up the USS Pringle, just prior to sailing to Ulithi. My dad made a couple of USS Pringle reunions, the last one being at Charlston SC.  He passed away last October, due to cancer.
